Week 1

Home Life...

Mark and I bought a great camera. I started homeschooling this week. I decided to start a blog with the main reasons being; I miss communicating with the outside world, I want to share our little adventures in life, We don't get out much, This might help.

This photo was the first taken with my new camera

Sam is now crawling all over the place, and putting everything into her mouth. One finger sweep led to a retrieved tac. Don't leave tacs on the floor. Vacumn everyday.

She is a joy.

Zoe is still occasionally wearing princess dresses. I'm going to miss this someday.
By the way, Zoe is not a princess because she has 12 princess dresses, is sweet, and attends royal balls. She is a princess because Jesus said she is. I hope she learns this valuable lesson faster than I did.

I try not to inhibit Zoe's fashion creativity.

This little girl right here is the reason I'm homeschooling. She has needs and momma wants them met. She has potential and momma wants it reached. This year, that means homeschooling. Please make no mistake, I am not a "finger-painting mom". But I love my girls, so if that means pretending to be a "finger-painting mom", I will do it. In fact, I started this week. Maybe "pretending" can sometimes lead to "being". We'll see.

Home School...

I have big plans for this section of my weekly blog, just like I have big plans for homeschooling.

I'm gonna need some more time here. We'll talk about it later.

Home Cooking...
I grew this organic healthy acorn squash. Then, I cut in lengthwise, took its guts out, put tons of butter and brown sugar in place of its guts, and cooked it till it looked yummy. It was yummy. Zoe said just today, "Mom, do you have more of that sauce?" This is a great example of how you take something healthy and make it not so healthy. I have more examples of how I do this to food and myself, but we'll talk about that later too.

I wanted to redeem myself with this veggie tray that I made for Mark's 31st bday party. It is pretty because of the parsley dividing the veggies. I grew this parsley with my own two hands, but I don't know what to do with it. This is all I could come up with.

I also made some Pico De Gallo for Mark's bday. He loves me. I use the Pioneer Woman's recipe. For those of you that don't know her, find her. She is my hero! thepioneerwoman.com.

I was testing my camera with the chip photo. Not bad.

Home Woody...

Woody has had a tough week. The girls took out their homeschool frustrations on him. I must note that he is our third Woody. The first one mysteriously disappeared. My theory is he now lives on the road somewhere. Keep your car windows up if you ever have Presley in your car. Our second Woody, spent too many cold nights on our roof, suffered from severe frost-bite to the face, and eventually died from his face breaking...so sad. So, meet our third Woody. I hope he makes it.

As Presley would say...Da En
